My family migrated from Nigeria, to England to Canada almost 30 years ago. I have not been in my indigenous homelands for the last decade, and ways to connect to my indigeneity is through my art. My patterns are inspired from Uli designs which are motif based line art indigenous to Igboland. This is one of the ways that connects me to my ancestors.
