Self discovery came throguh the Jekyll and Hyde format. Being mined between two familes was quite comical. My mother’s familes were Christian. They were soft spoken, calm, and caring – no harsh words – couldn’t even call another a fool. Attending church activities was a must.

My father’s side was hilarious and sometimes very assertive. There wasn’t much filter with words which at times led to conflict. As I moved between the two families, I had to learn how to manueer and fit into both styles and that required a lot of self-searching and evaluation of self – to experience, live and demonstrate the best of both worlds.
