The Narrow

Artist: Abrar Adan

I have always felt empy ever since I was a kid. It started on one “peaceful” day, a 3rd grader who shouldn’t be experiencing no form of hate. I always knew I was different from the way I dress, talk, my skin colour, or my hairdo. I feel like being too aware as a child made me who I am today. A person full of empathy for others. It always felt like I had to put other’s feelings before mine, make excuses for them and forgive them. But as I started to grow up, I realized everyone carried a weight of problems on their shoulders like a backpack.
