I’ve included patterns that are similar to those found on a traditional Somali dirac. While creating this drawing, I envisioned the circles radiating outward to protect the inner space. Personally, I’ve dealt with anxiety, and the circular aspect of the pattern is a representation of the barrier that one needs to create to protect oneself when dealing with anxiety. It serves the dual purpose of self-protection and self-soothing.

Use the Artivive App to view the augmented reality (AR) on the pattern.
