Artist: Nico Taylor
I’ve often walked in straight lines.
Clean, defined, forward-moving straight lines…
…Until I ran into walls.
And my straight lines didn’t know what to do.
I leaned into the rhythmic twang of my lineage, reached out for the tender touch of the sun, and feasted on mystical starlight.
And then I discovered curves and bends and loops, things that can go between and exist within the rigid and stern. I sat with myself to listen, and stopped fighting all the parts of my being that doesn’t always know how to walk along angles and linear paths.
